Diagnostic disclaimer
Please read this before your appointment.
Remote diagnosis is an informed opinion
Some appliance failures cannot be fully confirmed through video alone. Certain tests require specialized tools, disassembly, sealed-system equipment, gas-service qualifications, or an in-person inspection. Appliance FixLine provides guided troubleshooting and a likely diagnosis but does not guarantee that every problem can be diagnosed remotely.
A video diagnostic is based on what the technician can see and hear through your camera, the information you provide, and the error codes or symptoms you describe. It is not a hands-on inspection and it is not a guarantee. Hidden failures, intermittent faults, and multiple simultaneous failures can only be confirmed with physical testing.
Confidence levels
Every diagnosis is labeled high, medium, or low confidence. A low-confidence diagnosis means the technician is describing a probability, not a conclusion. Do not purchase an expensive part on a low-confidence diagnosis without discussing it first.
Safety comes first
Our technicians will not walk you through any procedure that requires working on energized circuits, opening a sealed refrigeration system, or servicing gas lines or gas valves. If you smell gas, see smoke or sparks, or the appliance has caused a burning smell, stop, disconnect power if it is safe to do so, and contact your utility or emergency services.
You perform any work at your own risk
Any repair you choose to perform yourself is done at your own risk. Appliance FixLine and Rella Appliances provide diagnostic information and part identification only. We do not perform the repair, we are not present, and we cannot verify that a part was installed correctly.
Warranty and insurance
Self-repair may void a manufacturer warranty, an extended service contract, or affect a homeowner insurance claim. If your appliance is under warranty, check with the manufacturer before opening it.
Parts
Part recommendations are made in good faith using the model and serial information you supply. Confirm the part number against your appliance before installing. Incorrect model information is the most common cause of a wrong part.
Referral to a hands-on technician
If the technician determines the problem requires in-person service, they will say so during the call and note it in your summary. That is a valid outcome of the appointment, and the appointment fee still applies because the diagnostic work was performed.
